RealTeaCRM vs Follow Up Boss
Follow Up Boss is a very good follow-up CRM and it is honest about being one — it publishes its prices, which is more than most of this category does. The comparison comes down to two things: how the seat maths lands as you add people, and whether your website, IDX and marketing live in the same place.
What Follow Up Boss publishes

What you get with RealTeaCRM
Nothing sends without a person approving it
Every text, email and social post is drafted and waits in an approval queue. This is not a setting — there is exactly one send path in the codebase and it runs after a human says go. If you have ever had an automation email a client something you would not have written, this is the difference.
You bring your own Twilio, email and social accounts
Messages leave under your identity, from your number and your sending domain, and your reputation stays yours. If you leave, the accounts were always yours to keep.
Tenant data is isolated at the database
Row-level security, not hidden buttons. An agent cannot read another brokerage’s rows even if a page has a bug, because the boundary is enforced below the application.
Saved searches and listing alerts
A buyer saves a search on your site and gets told when something new matches or a price drops. The first run records what already matches and mails nothing, so their first alert is genuinely new.
The price is on the website
Three plans, published, with what each includes. No discovery call to find out what it costs.
Recruiting intelligence from your own MLS feed
See which listing agents in your market are carrying inventory right now and add them to a recruiting pipeline in one click. It is labelled as current inventory rather than closed production, because an IDX plan does not license sold prices and we would rather say so than show you a number we cannot stand behind.
What RealTeaCRM does not do
The same list on every comparison page we publish. If one of these is a dealbreaker, it is better that you find out here than three weeks in.
- RealTeaCRM is in beta. There are no customer counts, logos, case studies or reviews on this site because there are none to show yet.
- There is no native iOS or Android app. It installs to your home screen as a web app and sends push notifications from there.
- There is no built-in dialer. Tapping a number opens your phone’s dialer; there is no power dialing, call recording or smart numbers.
- We do not sell leads and we do not run ad campaigns for you.
- MLS coverage is per brokerage, not nationwide — you connect your own IDX feed, and Spark (Flexmls) is the supported adapter today.
- There is no commission disbursement or accounting. Comp plans and GCI reporting exist; ledgers, QuickBooks sync and 1099s do not.
- There is no e-signature. Compliance tracks which documents a file needs; nothing signs them.
Which one to pick
Pick Follow Up Boss if…
Follow-up is the whole job, you already have a website and marketing you like, and you want a native mobile app and a built-in dialer on day one.
Pick RealTeaCRM if…
You want the CRM, the agent websites, IDX search, saved-search alerts, listing marketing and brokerage reporting to be one system rather than five subscriptions that hand each other CSV files.
Questions people ask
How much does Follow Up Boss cost?
Follow Up Boss publishes its prices: Grow is $69 a month per user, Pro is $499 a month including 10 users, and Platform is $1,000 a month including 30 users, with calling as a separate per-user add-on. Those figures were read from their pricing page on 8 September 2026.
Is RealTeaCRM cheaper than Follow Up Boss?
It depends entirely on headcount, which is why we publish both. Our plans are priced per account with seats included rather than per user, so the gap widens as a team grows and narrows to almost nothing for a single agent. Check both pricing pages against your actual seat count.
Does RealTeaCRM have a dialer?
No. Tapping a phone number opens your phone’s own dialer and the call is logged, but there is no power dialing, call recording or smart numbers. Follow Up Boss sells calling as an add-on.
See it against your own book
